The refurbished Globe auditorium and stage will create an adaptable Music and Comedy venue suitable for the following range of clients:
World-wide events promoters of popular musicians and comedians.

Stockton-based groups for music and comedy productions.
The range of activities anticipated includes:
Popular music to a fully seated audience
Popular music to a standing stalls audience and seated circle area
Light entertainment to a fully seated audience
Comedy to a fully seated audience
Community presentations using the stalls only or the stalls and circle
The key developments planned for the auditorium are:
restoration of the 1935 interior
raising and levelling of the stage floor
replacement of the stalls floor
introduction of a removable stalls seating system
renewal of the seating in the circle
introduction of bars within the stalls area
introduction of protected wheelchairs places when the stalls seats are removed
provision of a demountable stalls lighting and sound control position
renewal of the auditorium and stage lighting system
renewal of the auditorium heating and ventilation system
Audience capacity of 3000+ – Standing Stalls and seated Circle
A fully seated capacity of 1650, or 3000+ when stalls seating removed.
It is not intended to fit out the stage house for lyric theatre requirements but to provide limited facilities for music, comedy and other small scale supported presentations.
The new stage construction will be designed to allow for the storage of the stalls seating in the space under stage.
